Random Brighton pictures

Everyone’s been busy today shooting the first stage of their assignments – and tonight they’ll be downloading and looking at what everyone has shot, in preparation for day two.

Later on we’ll be posting some images of everyone hard at work, but in the meantime to keep you entertained here are a few random images that Chris Mann shot last night and also walking around Brighton this afternoon… (more…)

Welcome to MyVision 2011

Welcome to the 2011 MyVision workshop in Brighton! 25 of the country’s finest wedding and portrait photographers have gathered for the second MyVision workshop, ready to explore and develop their photojournalistic skills.

Just like last year, the MyVision workshop takes place over four days. After checking in and being assigned to their teams on Sunday, the participants were given their assignments over breakfast this morning. Well, some of them were, at least. Some of the participants had to leave much earlier – with Kerry Morgan starting her assignment at 3:45 this morning! (more…)

Well here we are in 2011 already, and the next MyVision workshop is less than a couple of weeks away.

As you can see we’ve given the site a bit of a makeover, just to freshen things up a little. The Workshop starts on Monday February 7th and the organizing team are busy putting the finishing touches to the challenges that the aprticipants will have to face.

Check back here to see how they get on!

Curtains

So the curtain falls on the inaugural MyVision workshop.  The time is 4:49am and whilst a few of the hard core (some of which have been awake for something in the region of 68 hours) remain in the bar downstairs the majority have laid their weary heads down to rest.  The general consensus is that it was an amazing experience…one that will never be forgotten and that has enabled everyone to grow in ways they never knew they could.  In a few short hours the first will make their way to the airport and the train station to begin their journeys home.  Some of the slideshows will no doubt start to find their way onto the blog.  However the consistent hourly blogging will start to slow.  However do leave the MyVision Workshop in your RSS or reader feeds as information regarding MV2011 will no doubt start to filter through in the coming months.

Slideshows

This evening all of the participants will be displaying a slideshow of their favourite work to all of the other participants. The organisation of all of these has been a little last minute, but we seem to be getting there now.
