MYVISION Workshop

So the curtain falls on the inaugural MyVision workshop.  The time is 4:49am and whilst a few of the hard core (some of which have been awake for something in the region of 68 hours) remain in the bar downstairs the majority have laid their weary heads down to rest.  The general consensus is that it was an amazing experience…one that will never be forgotten and that has enabled everyone to grow in ways they never knew they could.  In a few short hours the first will make their way to the airport and the train station to begin their journeys home.  Some of the slideshows will no doubt start to find their way onto the blog.  However the consistent hourly blogging will start to slow.  However do leave the MyVision Workshop in your RSS or reader feeds as information regarding MV2011 will no doubt start to filter through in the coming months.

This evening all of the participants will be displaying a slideshow of their favourite work to all of the other participants. The organisation of all of these has been a little last minute, but we seem to be getting there now.

…the hours in an offhand way.

Today is all about consolidation.  Participants are now expected to get two days worth of shooting into a slideshow of about 3 minutes containing between 30 and 50 images.  The story needs to be complete and whilst some have shot around 600 images others have taken nearly 3000.  They’ll need more than Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon to get through this.

Maria didn’t have a single business or organisation to tell the story of, but instead had to work a story out of an entire street. Logistics meant that Maria’s shooting times were different to anyone else’s, and so there are very few photos of her at work, but here’s a little something for you.

Well, kind of. Poor Stewart’s assignment was so far away from base that the logistics of getting there scared off our roving reporters. So here’s a single image of him, wandering away from the hotel at approximately 6am, leaving others tucked up nicely in bed.
